The Importance of Radio
Radio advertising dates back to the early 1920s when the first commercial was played. More than 80 percent of Americans listen to the radio in the car, and with the advent of the internet more and more people are listening. Radio is effective for several reasons. Firstly, being it’s able to reach vast numbers of people in a controlled environment. Secondly, radio targets specific audiences easily and production is relatively low in cost compared to television commercials.
